Le Centre dInformation Internationale (CII)
The CII will provide you with information and advice about studying in Lyon and France in general, as well as enrolment conditions, administrative obligations, problems you may face in settling down and in your daily life in Lyon. The CII is also responsible for informing all students about the possibilities of continuing their studies, attending courses or work placements in a foreign country.

The first port of call should be the International Relations department in the establishment in which you will be studying.

EGIDE is also responsible for welcoming personalities invited by the Minister of National Education.
Both these organisations share the task of welcoming students who have been awarded grants by the French or a foreign government. The aim is to help students to settle in Lyon, guarantee that their studies go well and help to organise their cultural, social and human environment. They distribute the grants awarded by the French government and certain foreign governments.

(International relation department)The Claude Bernard University (Lyon 1) promotes international relationships through :
The exchange of students, teachers and personnel
The creation of privileged connections with foreign laboratories.
The implementation of exchange agreements with foreign universities, specially European ones through the joint supervision of theses(Ph.D) and doctoral school networks.

Université Lyon 2, Division des Relations Internationales
The DRI is responsible for the administrative and technical aspects of student and/or teaching staff mobility within the framework of bilateral agreements. The pedagogical aspects are the responsibility of the deans and course directors, and the research aspects the responsibility of laboratories. In order to prepare students from the Université Lumière Lyon 2 for their departure, and to welcome foreign students participating in an exchange programme, a certain number of faculties and institutes have a "Cellule études intégrées" (integrated studies office).

University Lyon 2 offers help and information to foreign students enroled on their own (not part of an exchange programme) at MAEVA ((Mission d'Accueil pour les Étudiants Venus d'Ailleurs).

the foundation facilitates the greeting of the foreign researchers and guard contact once returned in their country . Cosmo Club : an International Organization in Lyon
Since 2002, CosmoLyon (or CosmoClubLyon) is an association that aims to
promote the international life in Lyon: everyone (students or not, foreigner or french) interested in international life in Lyon is welcome ! CosmoLyon is also ESN-Lyon, a part of the european Erasmus Student Network (ESN).
