CROUS

The majority of the CROUS central offices are situated on the ground floor with simple access to the street. On the other hand, only the Puvis de Chavannes and Madeleine restaurants, and the Com’Et and Europe (Bron) cafeterias have easy access.

Certain halls of residence have rooms specially equipped for young people with motor disability.

Universities

The universities are in the process of improving access for disabled students: installation of access ramps, clear signposting for the visually impaired and disabled toilets.

For written exams, handicapped students are accorded by law an extra third of the allotted time (on condition that the student has made an official request to the University and has been issued a medical certificate by the University Preventive Medicine unit).
For example : an exam that lasts 3 hours = 4 hours for handicapped students.

The “Missions Handicap” link together able-bodied and disabled students through the work of a university co-ordinator whose aim is to ease the integration process of disabled (and injured) students into life at the university.

OPTIBUS provides a door-to-door service within Greater Lyon for people with reduced mobility.
The service runs every day, except 1 May, from 6h00 am to 1h00 am
