In schools and universities students have formed a number of apolitical associations of the “Law 1901” type, and known as “Corpos”, “Amicales” or “BDE”.
Their aims are as follows :
- to welcome new students, provide information and arrange meetings,
- to think about the study programme, job prospects, to organise conferences, talks, congresses and trade exhibitions....in other words, linking studies with the outside world or the job market,
- often, to participate in the administration of their faculties and universities,
- to hold cultural events (parties, theatre and concert trips, etc.) as well as sports and humanitarian activities.

You can thus put your free time to good use in the organisation of the different events, not to mention make useful contacts. Don’t hesitate to find out more: these associations are all keen to work with you!

The FEL, which has just celebrated its 10th birthday, unites 32 student associations from the schools, faculties and universities in the Greater Lyon area. These Amicales, BDE or Corpos are present in the places of study and represent approximately 85 000 students, making this FEL the largest city federation in France.
It aims to help all new arrivals, provide better information and co-ordinate different student activities (social, sport and cultural).

At present, it unites the following associations :
